Megan Bradshaw from the Museum Art Hotel Wellington took out the title of ‘2011 New Zealand Hotel Receptionist of the year’, with Daria Felds from Hotel St Moritz, Queenstown being the runner-up. Megan will go on to compete again, for the David Campbell Trophy and title of ‘International Hotel Receptionist of the Year’ at the International competition to be held in Prague in January 2012.

Megan Bradshaw from the Museum Art Hotel, Wellington, represented New Zealand very well at the ‘David Campbell Trophy’ competition to find the Best Young International Receptionist of the year. And although Megan did not place in the top three, she was a great ambassador for New Zealand hospitality and should be congratulated for her passion and the effort she put into making the competition a tougher challenge for the winners.

Fourteen national finalists representing, Austria, Czech Republic, Dubai, Estonia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom competed for the international title.

Christchurch will be hosting the AICR International Congress 9-14 January 2011, a Congress is held every two years (with a Presidium Meeting held the intervening years) in a city well known for its hotel and tourism activity.
